Dear Fashionistas,

Want to look at jewellery that rocks your world? Go for filigree pieces that have intricate patterns, usually beautifully crafted and add that touch of exotic elegance to a simple outfit.

You don’t have to dorn garb like the Gossip Girls do but a little colour does perk up the wearer and the people around us.

Check out another of our fashion creations below:

Dear Fashionistas,

When we gained financial independence and entered the corporate world, it seems like the only hues available to us to look professional are the black, grey and white.

But lest we dress like the buildings we work in, why don’t we inject some colour into your wardrobe, to bludgeon the blues and of course with shades that flatter your skintone?

Gold we believe is a colour that should be universally flattering to most skin tones. So we paid a little homage to it below. Enjoy our loving creation folks!

Our first intimate encounter with Swarovski crystals was at Swarovski Crystal Prism Factory in Austria.

There, even if you are apathetic to crystals in general, it might just chisel your resolve.

It’s aeons since 1895 when Swarovski was founded but the latest Swarovski innovations for Spring / Summer 2010 may just get costume jewellers enraptured again.

Our favourite Crystallised Swarovski element might very well be the Galactic sew-on stone featured in fashiontrendsetters.com

Yes, in order to romance the stone, you have to romance the crystal.

If you are an accessory junkie like us, you would already know about Erickson Beamon and his avant garde creations.

To elaborate on our earlier post on draping or multi-chain necklaces, here’s a picture for your eye candy.

When it comes to adornments to enhance your decolletage, one perennial trend has been draping / layering of necklaces. The difference is of course the elements you drape.

Metal chains and pearls have made appearances from time to time not unlike the current high-waisted skirt trend.

We adore the necklace that was featured in Chanel Cruise Collection 2010 . Now these are part of the contemporary euphemism called statement jewellery

It’s a couple of months since the Oscars, but Angelina Jolie’s emeralds, I mean her emerald earrings will forever be etched on my mind.

It is the epitome of timeless chic to me and what a way to infuse a rich green hue to a black dress. If in doubt, go green and I mean timeless Emerald green.

Those of us who were not in the know before the Oscars might probably mistake John Galliano’s blue filmy gown on Friedo Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire) as something out of an Indian designer’s shop, the sexy sari.

Get a load of his creation featured in the latest Autumn / Winter 09/10 collection as a halo of blue, purple and other hues serves as the whimsical backdrop of his exotic creations.

I thought that the multi-chained belts, minus the “embossed discs” would serve as beautiful necklaces as well.

For those who have had the joy of visiting Turkey and the region, I am sure many of the pieces, particularly the embroidery down to the headgear will be reminiscent of the exoticism of those mystical countries.

Well, let the video, courtesy of Telegraph.co.uk, speak to you.

John Galliano, exotic jewellery

Remember Scarlett Johansson in The Girl with the Pearl Earring?

No, I am not going to wax lyrical about the 17th Century Dutch Painter, Johannes Vermeer’s muse, and his choice of earrings for Johansson’s character in The Girl With a Pearl Earring.

What I want to do is talk about The Girl with her Gold Bracelet – Megan Fox. All media wants to get a piece of her, down to some internet community having a field day ever since her “… I am a man” remark.

What better canvas to lavish your jewels on, apart from this Transformer chick? I couldn’t tear my eyes off of her Amparali gold bracelet. Now that’s what we call a haute gem.

We have heard it all for 2009.

For statement jewellery, go loud and / big on the tribal or biblike necklaces.

What I believe is timeless are also rings that are unique and out of the cookie-cutter mould. These will set the wearer apart.  If alcohol is your drug of choice, I am sure you would be intrigued by this Piaget number (Blue Hawaiian) on one of your digits.

You might willingly pass on a cocktail once you get a load of this beauty.
